Nowadays information on what we should eat to be healthy is available to us but we shouldn’t overlook how we should eat those foods to improve their absorption in our body and their transformation in ‘fuel’ and energy for us.
I listed below a few steps we should all follow to optimise our metabolism and make the most of our nutrition:

• Chew food well, at least 20 times per mouthful;
• Avoid over-eating or ’stuffing’ yourself;
• Eat more often but less mixed food;
• Avoid eating 3 hours before sleeping;
• For drinking use water without CO2 (e.g. filtered or still mineral water);
• Do not mix proteins with carbohydrates too often.
• Make at least 1 hour pause between fruit and the next meal;
• Never eat desserts with rest of food. Make minimum 2 hours break between food and desserts.
• Avoid eating fruit or desserts for dinner;
• Prefer eating fish instead of meat (fish contains more Omega-3 while meat contains more Omega-6 and other types of fats);

And break all the above rules every now and then, ’cause that’s good too… :) .
